About the Project

Artist Origins was built to preserve and share the human stories behind creative work.

In a world that often celebrates outcomes—exhibitions, awards, success—we focus on beginnings. We believe the most powerful part of a creative life lies in the unseen years: childhood influences, doubt, failure, sacrifice, and the single moment that sparks commitment. Artist Origins curates short, first-person life stories from creative professionals across disciplines and geographies. These stories are published as curated anthologies, annual almanac volumes, and a podcast series—forming a growing global record of creative journeys.

This is not a directory or a résumé archive. Our aim is to tell the stories of creative lives around the world and make them accessible in multiple languages, without losing the honesty and nuance of each voice.

It is a living collection of origin stories—told with clarity, respect, and editorial care—for future readers, creators, and cultural historians.

Free participation includes 15 book pages (10 for your story, 5 for artwork), prominent website features with your links, 3 complimentary copies (postal fee only), and exposure via podcasts and art syndication.
